Archiving Policy
The "Liberal Journal of Language and Literature Review" (LJLLR) is committed to preserving its published content for long-term access and scholarly use. This Archiving Policy outlines the procedures for archiving published articles and related materials.
2. Archiving Platforms
The LJLLR will utilize multiple platforms for archiving its content:
- Publisher's Website: All published articles will be permanently archived on the LJLLR website, accessible through a user-friendly interface.
- Digital Repository: The LJLLR will deposit accepted articles in a reputable digital repository, such as Portico or CLOCKSS, ensuring long-term preservation and accessibility even in the event of website disruptions.
- National Library Archives: The LJLLR will submit a copy of each issue to the national library, where it will be preserved in accordance with their archival policies.
3. Archiving Timeframe
- Published Articles: All published articles will be archived immediately upon publication on the LJLLR website. Deposit to the digital repository will occur within one week of publication.
- Supplementary Materials: Any supplementary materials associated with published articles, such as data, code, or appendices, will be archived alongside the main article.
- Peer Reviews: Peer reviews will not be publicly archived due to confidentiality concerns. However, they will be retained for internal editorial purposes for a predetermined period.
4. Access and Preservation
- Open Access: The LJLLR encourages open access to its content and may adopt open access publication models in the future. However, the specific access policies will be clearly outlined for each volume or issue.
- Long-Term Preservation: The LJLLR will implement strategies to ensure the long-term preservation of its archived content, including regular format updates and migration to new technologies as necessary.
- Metadata: Comprehensive metadata will be associated with all archived content to facilitate discoverability and access.
5. Review and Updates
This Archiving Policy will be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in technology, access models, and best practices. The updated policy will be clearly communicated to authors, readers, and other stakeholders.
